Cooling: high air speeds in the right place

Moving air costs energy and that costs money. That is why the full focus is on cooling the sensitive areas in the barn and on the animal. But cooling also means refreshing, and that requires fresh air. vet.smart.tubes meet both requirements in technical perfection.

Ventilation: uniform draft-free fresh air supply

If it gets cold outside, the barn openings must be closed in such a way that the outside air does not reach the animals in the form of uncontrolled drafts. In order to supply the animals with the optimal amount of fresh air, exactly the right amount of air is needed, evenly distributed over the animal area and at speeds below the animal-specific draft limit. This is exactly what our ventilation systems deliver.

Otto Berends – Backemoor (Niedersachsen) I 40 KälberKontinuierliche Kälberstall-Belüftung

Im Kälberstall von Otto Berends wurde an uns die Anforderung gestellt den vet.smart.tube genau durch die Holzsparren verlaufen zu lassen.
Durch unsere exakte Planung der Luftströme konnten wir diese komplexe Aufgabe erfüllen & für verbesserte Luftbedingungen im Stall sorgen. Die Tiere füllten sich schon nach kurzer Zeit sichtbar wohler.

Robert Pelican – Surrein (Schweiz)Kälberstall Belüftung zur Verbesserung der Tiergesundheit

Betriebsleiter Robert Pelican baute im Jahr 2007 einen neuen Kälberstall. Nach der Einstallung verbreitete sich schnell die Grippe. Im Jahr 2015 wurden vet.smart.tubes zum besseren Luftaustausch installiert.
Das Ergebnis: gesündere Tiere, eine schnellere Gewichtszunahme & im Zuge dessen auch niedrigerer Behandlungskosten. Ebenso wie Kälber, die früher schlachtreif sind – auch im Winter bei -20 °C, da unser Belüftungssystem zugluftfrei auch mit geringer Luftgeschwindigkeit arbeitet.

Milchgut Triebtal – Falkenstein/Vogtland (Sachsen)Gesündere Kälber im Offenfrontstall

Im Kälberstall des Milchguts Triebtal herrschte vor dem Einbau unserer vet.smart.tubes ein Keimgehalt von über 365.000 KbE/m³ in der Luft. Nach Installation unseres Systems sank der Gehalt unter 10.000 KbE/m³
Das entspricht einer Luftverbesserung von fast 100%.
Geschäftsführerin Frau Andermann berichtete uns, dass die Luft im Stall wesentlich frischer ist und kein einziges Kalb mehr wegen Lungenentzündung behandelt werden musste.

Hurler Argar GbR – Bissingen (Bayern)Kälberstall Belüftung für den Altstall

Für die Hurler Agrar GbR in Schwaben haben wir 2 vet.smart.tubes für einen seit 2004 genutzten Altstall für Kälberaufzucht umgesetzt. Die Tiere hatten aufgrund eines schlechten Stallklimas mit vielen Atemwegserkrankungen kämpfen.

Um das optimale Belüftungssystem zu konzipieren, wurde im Vorhinein der Stall vermessen und die nötige Luftgeschwindigkeit, -richtung und die -austauschrate berechnet. Die Kälber waren schon nach kurzer Zeit deutlich gesünder & der Bau eines Neustalls konnte vermieden werden.

Hofgut Neumühle – Rhauderfehn (Niedersachsen) I 80 KälberBelüftungssystem im Kälberstall

Nach Installation unseres vet.smart.tubes im Kälberstall des Hofguts Neumühle konnte die Keimbelastung im Bereich der 80 Tiere dank verbesserter Luftbedingungen deutlich gesenkt werden.

Bei dem vet.smart Belüftungssystem handelt es sich um einen Ventilator verbunden mit einem geeigneten Belüftungsschlauch, welcher den individuellen Anforderungen auf Basis von Stallgeometrie, Stallart, Tieranzahl, Tieralter u.ä. entsprechend für unseren Kunden konzipiert wurde.
Der Schlauch wurde gleichmäßig im Raum verteilt. Dadurch wurde eine zugluftfreie, gleichmäßige Frischluftverteilung erzeugt; Schadgasse, Staub & Keime reduziert.

Betrieb Waldherr – Kirchschlag in der Bucklingen Welt (Niederösterreich)Kälberstall mit variierender Luftgeschwindigkeit – für jung & alt

Bei diesem Projekt wurde ein vet.smart.tube für Kälber im unterschiedlichen Alter & unterschiedlichen Luftbedingungen konzipiert.

Die kleinsten Kälber (< 100 kg) müssen mit einer Luftwechselrate von 3,2 mit max. 0,3 m/s auf Kopfhöhe versorgt werden, während die größeren 10 Luftwechsel pro Stunde mit 0,5 m/s erhalten. Zusätzlich mussten die die Luftkegel im Bereich der größeren Tiere ausschließlich auf Liegeboxen und Fressplätze zielen, während in den Gruppenbereichen der kleineren Kälber die komplette Fläche homogen ausgelüftet werden muss.
Dank unserer 3D-Stallklimasimulation konnten wir alle Anforderungen entsprechend erfüllen – individuelle, zugluftfreie Frischluftverteilung.

Betrieb Schwimmer – St. Wolfgang (Bayern)Maßgeschneiderte Planung – Kälberstall

Johann Schwimmer ist bayerischer Tierwohlpreis-Gewinner des Jahres 2019. Grund dafür ist sein innovativer Kälberstall, der in Zusammenarbeit mit VET.SMART nach unserem probarn.concept geplant und realisiert wurde. Der Stall bietet alle Komponenten, des Kälbergoldstandards: Licht, Luft, Platz, Klimakontrolle und optimale Arbeitsabläufe.

Die Belüftung sämtlicher Kälberflächen erfolgt über vet.smart.tubes für Kälber. Ein Tube belüftet dabei die Kälbereinzelboxen, ein Tube die Gruppenfläche.

Beide Tubes werden separat und unabhängig voneinander gesteuert und je nach aktueller Witterungssituation und Jahreszeit in ihrer Leistung optimal angepasst.

How long is the warranty on the tube and fan? 5/7/2021

A general manufacturer's guarantee of 10 years applies to the fabric of our tubes. Due to the use in a risk area (= barn), we cannot pass this on to you in full, since the origin of any cracks is usually mechanical damage caused by people, animals or machines. In individual cases, however, we always strive to offer you free repair or inexpensive replacement options. The usual manufacturer's warranty of 1 or 2 years (depending on the manufacturer) applies to all technical components (fans, control units, etc.).

What is the service life of the tubes? 5/7/2021

In concrete terms, we can state that since we began working with the Tubes system in early 2013, not a single tube has had to be replaced due to a material weakness. According to the manufacturer, the service life of the fabric is 10 years with moderate UV exposure. We assume that this service life can also be achieved in the form of the hose and when used in the stable.

What happens if the tube doesn't work properly? 5/7/2021

With every delivery you will receive a supplementary sheet with guidelines for the successful use of the tube system as well as an individual data sheet and installation instructions. Please check that all information contained in these documents has been followed. If the problem persists, please get in touch with your vet.smart.tubes representative. What happens if the wind blows even slightly on my exhaust air surfaces (open curtains)? 5/7/2021

Slight wind pressure (air speeds < 1 m/s) is harmless and can be equalized by the tube system. If the wind pressure is higher, the exhaust air surfaces must be insured (e.g. using wind protection nets).

Are there problems with condensation? 5/7/2021

Unlike other suppliers, our tubes are made of airtight material. However, in order to prevent condensation, we use micro-perforation if necessary, i.e. many additional small exit holes that are included in the calculation. In individual cases it can happen that a small amount of condensation forms around the tube, but this is harmless for the animals. more

Where exactly is the fan located? 5/7/2021

The fan normally sits at the beginning of a ventilation or cooling tube. If the fresh air intake is possible directly in the outer wall without an additional air supply duct, the fan is also located directly in the outer wall. In most cases this arrangement is feasible. If an additional air supply duct is required (e.g. for air intake via a false ceiling), the fan is located at the end of this duct and thus in turn at the beginning of a ventilation or cooling hose. In special cases, other fan arrangements are also possible. more

How loud are the fans? 4/30/2021

We attach great importance to constantly using the latest fan technology. For this reason, we always use fans with comparatively low noise levels. If you have special requirements regarding the volume of the fans, we have the option of designing an "extra-quiet system" for you. Our technicians will be happy to provide you with precise technical information. more

Why can't I drive around the corner with the tube? 4/22/2021

vet.smart.tubes stands for the highest precision. With a tube that goes around the corner, the precision we want is not achieved due to the turbulence that arises. That's why we prefer to work with several tubes or with air supply channels if necessary. If a solution without a bend is not possible in your specific case, we of course also offer tubes with bends and curves, whereby we only plan systems whose effectiveness we are 100% convinced of.

My barn is very low. What is the minimum mounting height? 4/22/2021

This depends on the size of the animals to be ventilated/cooled. As long as your animals cannot come into direct contact with the tube system (e.g. bite into it), it can be installed without hesitation. If direct contact cannot be avoided due to the size of the animals, the system can also be insured against damage by taking simple measures (e.g. protective grid).

Is it really necessary to measure and calculate so precisely? 4/22/2021

Absolutely. Even a small error in the measurement or calculation can lead to a significant impairment of the correct functioning of the system and, in the worst case, to negative effects on animal health. more

How is the tube cleaned? Do I have to dismantle it every time? 4/22/2021

We recommend cleaning the tube at least once a year. This can easily be done with a high-pressure cleaner. In this way, the tube does not have to be dismantled. Alternatively, you can also dismantle your tube and clean it in a tub. more
